SheFest & Parliament Project: Exploring Your Political Pathway

  • Sheffield Town Hall Pinstone Street Sheffield, England, S1 2HH (map)

Have you always wanted to get involved in politics, but don't know where to start? Then this workshop brought to you by SheFest in partnership with Parliament Project is the workshop for you.

Come along to Sheffield Town Hall on 2 November for our free three-hour workshop and learn more about exploring your political pathway and how to kick-start your political career. You don't need political experience, a party or in-depth knowledge of the political system - all you need is the passion to make a difference and the curiosity to find out more.

We welcome self-identifying women from across the political spectrum (and none) and from any and all backgrounds; we're here to help you get started and connect you with other women in Sheffield who are on the same journey.

We'll discuss everything from the process of standing to surmounting barriers that might be in your way. We will also be joined by Councillor Kaltum Rivers, who will share her experiences of standing for election and in politics. Leave feeling knowledgeable, confident and inspired to #GetReadyToStand!

The workshop will include a tour of the Council Chambers and end with light refreshments and further opportunity to network and mingle with other Sheffield Councillors/MPs.
